Garden of Eden

So I was out doing missionary work yesterday and we were driving through a town called Eden. It got me thinking about the Garden of Eden. I was thinking what was it like. So here is what I came up with. Think of the most awesome place you have ever been to  somewhere like the Bahamas, I have never been there but it sounds really awesome, anyways imagine a really cool place that you really liked. Ok now that you have done that take it and put another really cool place together with the first place you thought of. Now take those two a times them by lets say 10. This is looking really good. Now can you imagine living there. That is how the Garden of Eden must of looked like when Adam and Eve lived there. In time this earth we live on will be brought back to the same state as the Garden of Eden.

Enduring

So I was eating dinner one night and a thought popped into my head. It was endure to the end. Many of us have struggles and they don't seem to end. So we start asking when is this going to end and why is it happening to me. When we ask this sometimes it just seems to be getting worse and we don't know why and then we start getting mad. Well I don't know how it is for you but that is how it is for me. In the Book of Mormon in 2nd Nephi Chapter 31 Verses 15-16 it says :

15And I heard a voice from the Father, saying: Yea, the awords of my Beloved are true and faithful. He that bendureth to the cend, the same shall be saved.
16And now, my beloved brethren, I know by this that unless a man shall aendure to the end, in following the bexample of the Son of the living God, he cannot be saved.

Isn't that a great promise. If we just endure to the end, which is to say our struggles, we will be saved. I love that promise! Even though I am going through at hard time at the time that I am I will be saved because I endured it and it is becasue I believe the words of Jesus Christ. I know they are true and that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that He lives. So remember when you are struggling endure it for a little while and in the long run you will be saved.

Weak things will become strong

27And if men come unto me I will show unto them their aweakness. I bgive unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my cgrace is sufficient for all men that dhumble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make eweak things become strong unto them.

I really like this scripture it is found in the book of Ether Chapter 12 verse 27. Everyone has weaknesses. I have them and they are a lot. I don't like to admit it but I do. Through my weaknesses I have been humbled more than once. It has been harsh but it has been good. When I was humbled my faith did increase in God. Since I did that the weak things I had at that time have become strong. I can't tell you what they are but they have become stronger because of my faith in God and because I have chosen to serve him. So remember this scripture and the promise it gives will be fulfilled.

Ask, seek, and knock

In the book of Matthew chapter 7 verse 7 it reads Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: So what does this mean anyways? Well it means what it says. When you ask the Lord He will give it to you if it is right. Before he does that though you have to try first. He won't just give it to you right away. When you knock it is going to him in prayer. If you have a question knock by prayer and He will have an answer for you. Keep this verse in mind it can be very helpful to you and even to me.

Weeping

I know it sounds sad but don't worry this one won't be sad. In John chapter 11 verse 35 it says Jesus Wept. This can probably be one of the most powerful scriptures. When I think of Jesus Christ I think of a powerful man, a sinless man, a perfect man. Does anyone ever think that the Son of God would ever cry? I know I didn't. I love these two simple words. It shows how much Christ loves everyone. He cries when we do something wrong or as friends like Lazarus when we die. So next time you decide or are thinking of doing something wrong remember that Jesus Wept.

Second Post

I promise I will get more creative as time goes on. I was on facebook and something happened where I no longer can get to the first one I made so now I had to make another one. Well I was reading a few days ago and I came across a scripture and it said feast upon the words of Christ. That got me thinking what does that really mean. So I starting thinking more. This is what I have come up with. Feasting on the words of Christ is read the scriptures. They are what He has said that is why the prophets of old wrote them down. If we read and study them then we are feasting and learning from Christ. So next time you look at your scriptures remember whose words they are and how they can help you.
